WARSAW (SEEcult.org) - The exhibiton “As soon as I open my eyes I see a film - Experiment in the art of Yugoslavia in the 60’s and 70’s” is on view until June 22 at Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, presenting around 40 artists and groups from ex-Yu in order to give an outline of the new radicalization of visual codes and the emergence of new artistic forms in the 70’s in Yugoslavia - from video to the use of artists’ body, from the redefinition of exhibition strategies and concepts to intervention in public spaces, till the final abandoning of the borders between art and life.

BELGRADE (SEEcult.org) - Srdjan Jovanovic Weiss, a Serbian-born architect and founder of NAO (Normal Architecture Office) is selected to design an urban villa in Inner Mongolia, China.

LINZ (SEEcult.org) - Young Belgrade director Stefan Arsenijevic, internationally acclaimed for his short movies, got the audience award at the Crossing Europe Film Festival in Linz for his feature-debut Love and Other Crimes. It’s his third award after the world premiere of the Love and Other Crimes at this year’s Berlinale, in Panorama Specials selection.

SARAJEVO (SEEcult.org) - The industry section of the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF), CineLink, designed to address the current needs and expectations of Southeast Europe’s film industry in reshaping, this year will present 12 new projects from the region, as well as three more in CineLink+ section.

CELJE (SEEcult.org) - The second international video festival Electric Rats Dream Video Dreams in Celje will be held this year from July 2-6, and its call for participation is open until May 25.

SKOPJE (SEEcult.org) - The open competition for comic strip for the 2008 6th Gallery of Comic Strip in Veles, which will be held on November 14-16, is open until November 1, and comic authors from any country are eligible to apply.

BELGRADE (SEEcult.org) - A bust of famous Serbian corepgraph Dimitrije Parlic (1919-1986), who had international carier, was officially shown at the National Theatre in Belgrade, on the occasion of the World Dance Day, April 29.

VIENNA (SEEcult.org) - Viennafair, the international contemporary ar fair focused on Central-Europe and South-East Europe, presented this year several galleries from SEE region, among which were Zvono, Remont and New Moment New Idea from Belgrade, and Photon and Skuc from Ljubljana.

BELGRADE (SEEcult.org) - British rock veterans The Police will perform on June 24 in Belgrade, and concert at Usce will be only one in the region, as part of their successful World Tour 2008.

NOVI SAD (SEEcult.org) - The Exit association and The Citizens’ Pact for SEE invite non-governmental organizations from the South Eastern Europe (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro) to present themselves at the EXIT 08 music festival in Novi Sad, which will be held on July 10-13.
