Marica Radojčić Prešić

Matematičar i umetnik, redovni profesor Matematičkog fakulteta u Beogradu, gostujući profesor i istraživač na univerzitetima u Bonu, Hamburgu, Moskvi, Berkliju, Stanfordu, Njujorku. Dobitnik Fulbrajtove stipendije za matematiku školske 1985/86. U nauci se bavi matematičkom lingvistikom, logikom, algebrom. U umetnosti javno prisutna od 1982. godine, više u svetu nego u zemlji, posebno u Njujorku. Razvijajuću u umetnosti ideje iz matematike i filosofije eksperimentiše u raznim medijima. Autorskim projektima, ili kao gostujući umetnik, predavač, učesnik međunarodnih projekata, izlagala ili boravila u mnogim gradovima Evrope, Amerike, Afrike. Pored umetnosti i nauke bavi se organizacijom i produkcijom. Marica Radojčić was born in Novi Karlovci, Yugoslavia. Graduated and obtained Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Belgrade. Professor at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mathematics and the University of Art, Belgrade, Group for Digital Art. Visiting professor at the University of California - Berkeley, University of Hamburg, University of Bon, MGU - Moscow etc. For many years she has been occupied with organization and production of projects both artistic and scientific. Her art is of contemplative nature, experimental and multimedial, based on mathematical and philosophical ideas (semantical layers of language, paradoxes, infinity, algorithms, truth theories…).
