Candidates for the European Oscar at the 22nd AFF
Auteur Film Festival in Belgrade will be screening several film accomplishments, which have been nominated for prizes of the European Film Academy (EFA), and among them are "Toni Erdmann" by German director Maren Ade, the Cannes winner "I, Daniel Blake" by Ken Loach, which is scheduled to be screened at the opening of the 22nd AFF on November 25, and "Graduation" by Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.22nd edition of AFF from November 25 to December 3, will be screening 19 films in the main program, of which 11 are in competition for the Grand Prix "Aleksandar Sasa Petrovic".As a part of the main program, a film from 1974 "Sweet Movie" by Dusan Makavejev will be honorary screened."There is a small ammount of such free, brave, innovative, radical, socially critical, witty, philosophical, poetic and modern films in today's world cinema as “Sweet movie”. Breaking taboos, both narrative and visual, stripping babbitry, confusing and shocking that stagnant world, mocking the absurd of totalitarism, of nonsense.
