November at the Yugoslav Film Archive
During November the Yugoslav Film Archive will present achievements of Slovenian, Indian, Japanese and Mexican cinema, display parts of the programs Author Film Festival and Free Zone, and also remind us of Clint Eastwood’s creative work as one of the icons of world cinema.
The audience will be able to see a selection of films recommended by film director Mladen Djordjevic.
With continued projections of film classics, a program called "Our Fatherland From The Perspective Of Foreign Filmmakers" will be displayed along with works of recently deceased filmmakers Andrzej Wajda, Curtis Hanson, Tonino Valerii, Arthur Hiller, actors Bill Nunn, Jacqueline Pagnol, Alexis Arquette, Lady Chablis and Jagoda Kaloper, film music composer Anđelko Kobučar and cinematographer Wolfgang Suschitzky.
Continuing with daytime projections (10 am and 12.30 am) in Uzun Mirkova street, the Yugoslav Film Archive will be showing film classics signed by directors such as Fellini, Visconti, Antonioni, Lang, Wenders, Fassbinder, Herzog, Schlöndorff, as well as movies in which Robert Redford has acted (The Sting, The Great Gatsby, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid …), and will mark the 55th anniversary of "West Side Story" film premiere by Jerome Robbins and Robert Weiss with Natalie Wood and Rita Moreno.
